While you can upload images one at a time to your project, one of the benefits of using photo galleries is the ability to batch import many images quickly.  In order to create a photo gallery, go to the main Studeo dashboard and click the “Photo Galleries” link from the left-hand menu.  This will show you all current galleries that have been created on your account.

Before you can import a new gallery, you need to prepare a Google Drive or Dropbox folder of images. In order for the import to work, please refer to the following guidelines:

  • The folder must contain ONLY image files; no video (like an mp4), PDF files or txt files can be imported.  If any file type outside of JPG or PNG is included in the folder, the import will fail.  Media like video or Matterport can be added to your Studeo storybook directly in the project wizard.
  • Do not include any subfolders within the folder structure you are sharing with Studeo.
  • Try to keep the total file size of your folder to under 300MB and keep your image count to under 100 files if you are importing from Google Drive.  If you need to import more than 100 files, Dropbox will give you more flexibility, but please expect the import time to take a bit longer.
  • Keep image files roughly to 1-2MB in size.  Lower than 1MB might cause some fuzziness in rendering and over 10MB can cause time-out issues.

To create a new gallery, click the button called “New Gallery” in the top right-hand corner. Name your gallery and then paste in the share link to either a Google Drive or Dropbox folder containing all your images. If you are using Google Drive, please ensure the access-level of the share link you create is set to ‘anyone on the internet with this link can view’.

Note that depending on the size of our gallery, it can take between 5 and 15 minutes to import.
